18-year-old Stefania Bivone has been crowned Miss Italy 2011.
To become Miss Italy Stefania was first awarded the title of Miss Calabria, a competition that she claimed she entered just for fun. She then went on to win the national title of Miss Wella, and started to believe that winning Miss Italy 2011 might be possible.
The young beauty queen was born in Reggio Calabria on the 15th of May 1993 and now lives in Sinopoli. The high school student hopes to study law, but first wants to establish herself as a singer or a model.
When asked which book had most influenced her, Stefania explained that A Walk to Remember taught her to live without worrying about what tomorrow will bring. When quizzed about politics, she politely sidestepped the question, explaining she had “yet to investigate”. She described the support of her family and friends as the greatest gift in her life.
Stefania was selected out of 60 finalists via an in-studio jury and remote votes from people at home.
