Palermo defender Moris Carrozzieri failed a cocaine test after Palermo's 1-0 home win over Torino on April 5, the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) said Thursday.
The test was part of CONI's new 'targeted' anti-doping testing scheme introduced in January.
Carrozzieri, 28, joined Palermo from Atalanta last summer.
He has also played for Sampdoria.
The tall (1.92m) centre-back has played 17 times for the Sicilian outfit this season.
