The 2015 edition of the Pirelli Calendar, known as The Cal, was shot by Steven Meisel and styled by Carine Roitfeld in New York earlier this year.
The chosen theme is fetishism and the twelve models were shot in latex corset and bustier inspired to an erotic fantasy with mixed references to various icons, from Brigitte Bardot to Jerry Hall.
But the real novelty of the 2015 edition of The Cal is Candice Huffine, the first plus-size model to ever grace the calendar with her D cup bra.
Since its creation in 1964, The Cal, has been seen as the ultimate girly calendar, often portraying artistic nudes, and celebrating the female forms. Top actresses and models such as Sophia Loren, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were among the models featured over the past 50 years. For the first time, in 2015 a beautiful ‘curvy’ model will join the Olympus.
"My presence on this set—the most glamorous in the world—is a sign that things are really changing", Candice Huffine told British Vogue.
In the fashion industry she is already a star and was featured on the cover of Vogue Italia and several others major fashion magazines.
The calendar's exact release date is unknown and, in any case, it is just reserved for important Pirelli clients or VIPs.
