Every girl knows that beauty doesn't come cheap.
But a new series of ''ultra-exclusive'' spa treatments takes this to a whole new level.
The 'Just 4 Youth' package at Adler Thermae Spa costs £1,000 per person - per DAY - and is believed to be the most expensive of its kind in the world.
Those lucky enough to afford it will be treated to a series of ''deluxe'' treatments using ''only the finest'' organic ingredients.
According to experts, they blend ancient Ayurvedic therapies with contemporary remedies to offer an ''unbeatable detox service''.
The spa resort, in Tuscany, Italy, yesterday insisted the package - which goes on sale today - is worth ''every penny''.
Spokesman Claudia Zancolli said: ''It's the best possible package available anywhere in the world.
''The treatments are extraordinary in that they utilise only the finest of ingredients and, though expensive in a traditional sense, are worth every penny.''
Each tailor-made package contains a total of 10 treatments over a three-day period. The total cost, excluding accommodation at the resort, is 3,600 EUROS (£3,000), or £1,000 per day.
It starts at 6am with a revitalising 'health' dip at 'Grotta Salina', (The Salina Cave), a natural heated spring in the resort's grounds. A 40-minute visit to this mineral rich pool is said to cleanse skin and remove ''99 per cent'' of impurities from pores.
This is followed by ''top to tail'' check-ups by an Ayurveda doctor and nutritionist.
Other treatments include a deep clean ''from the inside out'' with a 'special blend' of detox tea, Ayurveda facials, and personalised head massages with organic essential oils.
Days two and three include the 'Complete Honey and Milk Facial' to gently cleanse and hydrate the skin, and a Slow Honey Massage to help soothe and tone weary muscles.
There are also a range of thalasso, or 'sea', treatments - which use salt water mixed with oxygen - and relaxing algae wraps and facials.
''The purified sea water we use rids the body of dead cells, and rejuvenates the skin,'' said Christopher Alexander, the resort's resident GP.
Day three is devoted to ''rehydration and relaxation''. It includes a Brunello wine and olive oil envelopment, and massages using grape and olive oil creams.
Dr Alexander said: ''Extra virgin olive oil has been used from the dawn of time to hydrate the skin.
''Grape, meanwhile, is full of natural antioxidants which have been used since the dawn of civilisation for their beatific properties.''
According to Zancolli, the treatments promise to reduce ageing, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and ''clear the mind''.
''It's expensive, I grant you,'' she said. ''What this is heaven on earth.''
