If you have been disturbed by our stories about the “death” of the lovely city of Venice, you may like to know that there is a way of seeing its beauty without contributing to the crumbling of its buildings or causing undue annoyance to its permanent residents: you can now take a helicopter ride over the city and enjoy breathtaking views without queuing for tickets or fighting your way through crowds.
The city will appear to you “as a mirage”, the organisers say.
Heliair Venice runs helicopter flights every day except Mondays from the Lido G Nicelli Airport and flights last from 5 – 6 minutes to 23 – 25 minutes according to ticket tariff.
There are three itineraries on offer:
Wide horizons- the large Venice laguna - 330 euros
Venice laguna – the Venice laguna tour - 220 euros
Taste of Venice – the short Venice laguna tour - 110 euros
Booking is requested and tickets can be purchased from IAT offices of the Azienda di promozione turistica della Provincia di Venezia.
