Looking for a different way to visit the Siena countryside? Then hop on the Treno Natura!
This vintage steam train gives travelers the chance to discover the endless heritage of traditions, art, culture, food and wine around Siena – at a slower pace, immersed in the beauty of the Tuscan landscape, without the clatter of a modern train, but rather the puffing and hissing of a steam engine.
There is a number of different itineraries to choose from, combined with special food festivals, such as the Crastatone Festival in Piancastagnaio (November 2), the Truffle Fair and Market in San Giovanni d’Asso (November 9 and 16), and the Olive Oil Festival in San Quirico d’Orcia (December 8).
The Treno Natura rides end on December 8.
