(ANSA) - A local train carrying 50 passengers derailed outside Milan on Monday, leaving a few
people with cuts and bruises but no serious injuries.
The Novara-bound train was still travelling slowly when it came off the rails just after leaving the station of Rho on the outskirts of Milan.
All the passengers were able to get off and walk back to the station.
The derailment happened at 16.45 and so disrupted rush-hour rail traffic out of the Lombardy capital. East-bound commuter trains had to be diverted.
