Actress Uma Thurman is the 15th star to feature as the face of the world-renowned Campari Calendar.
Titled ‘Worldwide Celebrations’, the Campari Calendar 2014 features a cover image of Thurman in a red gown that is embossed with a map of the world. The calendar is themed so that each month focuses on a festival from a number of different cultures around the world. South African fashion photographer Koto Bolofo took the images of the actress.
Thurman said of her starring role in the Italian drink-manufacturer’s calendar: “To be a part of such a globally-renowned project for an iconic worldwide brand is a pleasure. I particularly admire the theme this year as I am able to share a worldwide journey of discovery, passion and style with Campari lovers around the globe. Each month, the true essence of a ‘global celebration’ has been captured beautifully thanks to Koto, a highly-acclaimed photographer with a keen eye for creating intriguing, stimulating and truly dynamic imagery.”
The Campari Calendar is an international limited edition of only 9,999 copies that has become one of the world’s iconic artistic calendars. It will not go on sale and is distributed to friends of Campari internationally. Stars who have adorned previous calendars include Penelope Cruz, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba.
Dark red in colour with a bitter flavour, Campari is an alcoholic aperitif used as a base in cocktails.
