Silvio Berlusconi is facing four trials in the coming weeks. He has vowed to appear in court to face the accusations, which he has repeatedly dismissed as ridiculous.
The trial that is capturing the most headlines involves charges that the Prime Minister paid for sex with an underage prostitute.
The scandalous story is generating strong reactions from the public and has resulted in an ingenious viral video.
“Arcore’s Nights” clocks in at nearly 4 minutes, but the parody is worth watching to the end because of its flawless execution. The impossibly clever video is a perfectly dubbed version of Grease’s “Summer Nights” dedicated to ‘Ruby-gate.’ The title is a reference to Berlusconi’s villa in Arcore, location of the infamous bunga-bunga parties.
The satirical online video is done in broken English, lampooning the premiere for his romantic jaunts in his Milanese villa. The lyrics ridicule several politicians and joke about parties and escorts.
The woman behind the video prefers to remain anonymous, known only as Sora Cesira. Her mysterious identity does not distract from her obvious talent. Cesira’s imaginative clip received over 1 million views in two days and is still generating online buzz.
