Boarding a plane to go from Milan to Paris should be an easy ordeal. With a flight time of 1 hour and 25 minutes, most of these short trips pass without any sort of noteworthy occurrence. However, one mother will always remember her quick plane ride because her son was born on board.
While en route from Milan Linate airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle, the woman went into labor. A French national, the new mother was presumably returning home, but she barely made it in time.
The plane made a hasty landing in Paris and a team of medics rushed on to assist the woman in the last stages of labor. The little boy was born aboard the Alitalia plane, welcomed by the applause of fellow passengers of flight AZ 3508.
