Given the bleak international news making headlines just a few days into the new year, we decided our Word of the Week would be pace - peace.
Pace is a feminine noun, therefore it takes the feminine article la: la pace.
Following are some expressions using the word pace:
- fare la pace: to make it up, to make peace
- lasciare in pace: leave alone, let be
- mettersi il cuore in pace: come to terms with something, resign oneself to something
- pace e tranquillità: peace and quiet
