Are there any advantages to buying a property (House with farm/outbuildings + potential) as a business premises rather than a domestic one. I know in France there can be numerous tax advantages (capital gains, personal & business tax rates etc) to buying in this way, but does the same apply to Italy? I often see numerous & varied business potential(s) in some of the properties I have viewed - indeed sometimes far more than the current uses would suggest. If such a purchase were to be made, should I be aware of any restrictions on the type of businesses which could be carried out from such premises, and if so, what steps can be taken to widen the scope of the usage?
