In Pictures: Empty Italian Cities Under National Evening Curfew
Italy's government recently imposed a nationwide evening curfew beginning at 10 pm. Between that time and 5 am, it is only possible to go out for reasons of work, health or necessity, carrying a certification explaining the reason for being out. In addition, restaurants, bars and eateries in general have to close down at 6 pm across Italy. Some regions, such as Lombardy, are back in lockdown, so cities like Milan tend to look desolate during the day too. Here are photos of famous Italian cities, usually lively and filled with people enjoying the evening out, now sadly empty.
