Hi
really sorry as your comment has just popped up-not ignoring you! We had started generally looking around Asti as a starting point but haven’t ruled anything in or out yet.
Which towns would be classed as South Piemonte?
thanks

South Piemonte is more or less south of Alessandria - Asti - Alba, for example the area around Acqui Terme, Nizza Monferrato ...
For example I know of a lovely property near the small village of Denice, South of Acqui Terme.

Would you consider Liguria? A British friend of mine had horses for the longest time so she could give you great insight!
Would you consider Liguria or is Piemonte your go-to destination?
Feel free to reach out if you need any extra info :)

Hi
Thank you very much for posting back. We haven’t definitely settled on Piedmont and would certainly look at Liguria. We are at the very beginning of our search and Piedmont was just one area that seemed a good place to start.
where in Liguria is your friend if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks

Of course! It’s Pontinvrea :) about a 20mn drive to the sea town of Albisola and 15mn drive to Piemonte. Close to Genoa & Nice airports which is important for us expats.

If you wish to know more about where ahe was keeping her horses etc...let me know & I’ll share her email. She’ll be happy to help!
Take care,
Liz
