Congratulations Emma. We would love to do that too. We have a place overe there too, but sadly its holidays only for us at the moment, but who knows what the future may bring! Whereabouts are you in Tuscany, we're near Bagni di Lucca. On the Fiat 500 front , I would think you'd pick up a 3 year-old model for a very reasonable price. I've noticed a lot more Fiat Panda's around, so there might be a better deal on those?

Fantastic place Sienna and the surrounding area. Gut feeling, I suspect you'd be able to pick up a little fiat for anything between €1500-2500 but it'll be interesting to see if anyone else on tnis forum replies with a more accurate figure. I suppose it dependes on how new or old you want your car to be. I've seen some pretty ancient lookiing fiats around Bagni di lucca and in the Lucca area genrally, anfd they seems to run forever. Some of them are 20-25 years old, now they must be available at bargain prices. If you wanteda newish one I think i'd be inclined to go to the local Fiat dealer. If you're not far from Sienna, I strongly recommend a day out at Monte Oliveto Maggiore.

It is fairly easy to cost a car in Italy if you are from UK. Just take the UK price and multiply by four.
