Kate Wickers is a freelance journalist and author, writing about travel, culture and food, for twenty-five years. Her published credits include work for many British and international publications, including The Sunday Telegraph, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, The Scotsman, The Sun, The i, The Independent, The Jewish Chronicle, Lodestars Anthology, Italia!, Suitcase, Delicious, Porthole, Luxury Travel, The Australian and The Globe & Mail.

She has contributed to a Rough Guide special, Women Travel, writing on Machu Picchu in Peru.  You’ll also spot her work in the cruise-line magazines of Cunard, Seabourn, P&O, Disney and Norwegian. Favourite Italian pleasures are Giardino Giusti in Verona; gelato nocciola; and driving along the Amalfi Coast. Kate's travel memoir ‘Shape of a Boy, family life lessons in far flung places’ will be published in the UK, North America and Australia in January 2022.
