Or you can watch it in Bar Belli in Amandola. They put a big screen up outside and have a pasta party for every Italian game.

Ciao Penny........... Any recommendations for a LAZY lunch in Amandola ..........whilst on our doorstep, we rarely go there as our flightpath tends to cross other locations ! Cheers, S

Although I'm not (sorry!) interested in the world cup - I have some friends who watched the England-US game on a website called arabgoals.net...perhaps you could try that - or there may be others, google it!

Hi Sprostoni, we're a bit light on restaurants in Amandola to be honest. Even more so at lunch. How about the trattoria at Lago San Ruffino? At the weekend we like Il Casolare but they only open Friday lunch to Sunday lunch. BTW - Sky Italia do have all the matches but you have to buy a separate subscription to watch them AND they have scrambled the Rai channel during the football matches only so you can't watch them unless you pay even though RAI are showing them free on regular tv!!!! Bar Belli it is for us then!

Grazie mille.....

Ciao Penny, Thanks for the call on Amandola for lunch...........I have been there many times but not seen a place to chill over lunch which you seem to have just confirmed. We live in Penna San Giovanni and we are fancying (don't laugh!)............getting the pulman from PSG to Amandola...............wandering around for a bit, taking in lunch and then getting the pulman back (stop laughing!). It was the lunch bit that I was stuck on due to the (my perceived) lack of lunch spots. We Lago San Ruffino well (Osteria and the Pizzeria) thanks and may well reconsider the masterplan. WE have been (for the last 2/3 years) to the evening string quartet (not sure when it is). Thanks again, S

Hello. I'm niot a football fan but even I get drawn into the WC. I thgought they were all on Rai Uno. Only I can't find Rai Uno any more 'cos they moved it or changed the signal or something. It used to be on Sky 101 but it's gone from there, too.
