I know of a good school with residential yoga holidays in Casperia (countryside near Rome) and Sperlonga (on the coast, between Rome and Naples). Not sure if that area suits you though?

The place I know of is called Sunflower Retreats, you can find some info here: http://learningescapes.net/escapeswelove/yogaholidaysinitaly/ Both Casperia and Sperlonga are near Rome: Casperia is a hilltop village, Sperlonga is on the coast - they're both beautiful places! The link is to something I wrote abuot them a few months ago: I think they have a lovely approach, very conscious of the environment and the community they live in.

Hello! I actually just wrote about a holiday retreat in the Florence area (one is a week and the other a weekend), Shari is such a sweet person and this sounds like a lot of fun. http://girlinflorence.com/2015/03/16/keep-fit-have-fun-sole-yoga-retreat-in-florence/I am sure there are plenty of options all around Italy, depending on how much you want to be focused on the yoga or combining it with art/food/wine etc.

thanks for your suggestion. the website looks really useful and attractive. But i prefer the retreat held in the rural area or country side. the one recommended in the webstie sounds like held at the city?

Hello! I have to say that I agree with Georgette! I spent many months in yoga with Shari the owner of Sole Yoga Holidays and Erin the owner of "Eat, Pray, Move" (in reference to the article above) and they are both fantastic teachers with a focus on yoga and giving the ultimate Italian experience. If their first retreat does not fit into your schedule look into Erin's Tuscany retreat http://www.eatpraymove.com/event/tuscany-italy-2015-june-28.Hope that helps a bit!
