It will be easier to find the type of shop you need near Perugia. Leroy Merlin has everything you need http://www.leroymerlin.it/negozi/perugia-bastia-umbraOtherwise, you may Google "fair da te Umbria" and you may find some shops, like the Brico Io chain. I remember seeing the type of screens or stores you mention in Tuscany, so they should also have them in Umbria.

I have to disagree with the above statement. Leroy Merlin is a retailer, so they will sell items which are also available from a local Brico shop. The advantage is that you have a large choice to check and compare from. As for price... Usually smaller retailers have problems matching prices offered by large chains, but still, it is always a good idea to check what is available locally.

She disagrees with a lot, especially if you don't agree with her... I guess she is disagreeing in this case with the comment on Leroy being more expensive - it is... Pity she can’t be more affable, but hey this is an open forum, you are always going to get one or two. As usual, she is wrong and has likely never done any shopping at either, have a look at the link, but also check locally ….

And you have turned this into a personal attack, which is something that you enjoy. here is a name for it: "agent provocateur". And you have not proved your point and I did advise to check locally as well. But then, you read what you want to read... Not a surprise...

If you take the road to Viterbo the new ind. area just before you get to the big Conad has a whole section on insect screens. Turn left as you enter. http://www.bricofer.it/Punti-vendita/Lazio/BIG-SRL6The caffé on the roundabout isn't bad either!
