A difficult question to

A difficult question to answer as it really does depend on the property e.g. location size and rendita value specific to the house in question. We have about 260sqm, but almost half of this is storage rooms downstairs, so say 130sqm. Parts of this they class as A2, C2 & C3 of which there is a value on the deeds of sale. These figures are put into something like this official site and will give you the payable amount. Not being resident you would currently have to pay IMU, TASI and TARI. The first two are basically yearly house tax and the other rubbish tax paid separately here. At a guess for our place I would reckon for all 3 we would have to pay around €1000/year

Thank you so much for being so open! I was super afraid of finding myself having to pay thousands of € per year...a 1000€ or slightly more sound managable. Thank you so much. May I ask in which region you have your house? Is it Umbria?

Hej Alan, thank you so much...those numbers really sooth my mind. I had half a heart attack when ppl started telling me that Italy was so expensive due to the extra annual taxes! Thank you for being so open!
