I once head that there might be a stipend for people who come back to live in their hometown. It was some kind of repopulation attempt by the Italian government.So, if my mother was a citizen and left to the USA would I have rights to a stipend if I moved to her home town?My siblings want me to ask since I went back to Roseto.Any help or references you could provide would be appreciated.

Im not aware of anything of the sort. Also if your mum emigrated after the war, she probably had to give up her Italian citizenship to get US citizenship. Are you and your siblings Italian citizens?
