Unfortunately for them I doubt they realise that the lack of activity in posting does not necessarily equate to how much business people reading the forum brings to them. But then again perhaps their business is in trouble? It is simple to stop new members posting links by number of posts and/or by time (the better option). Not many spammers will bother when these rules are in place. Other forums I’m a member of have this and other methods of stopping ALL spam e.g. moderator members who police spam.

It is a shame that they do not value the community forum more than they do, and look after it, because it surely creates and stimulates revenue for them and provides them with information and marketing opportunities. A healthy community forum protected from the rubbish that has been creeping into the posts for a while is surely worth looking after?
