Hello all,I wondered if anyone might be able to

Hello all,

I wondered if anyone might be able to throw some light on travelling requirements into Sicily?

I'm travelling to Sicily from the UK and perplexed regarding the entry rules.

Do you need to show that you have had 2 C19 vaccines and the booster?

I have had all 3 vaccines, but the hard copy paper copy of the vaccine status issued here in the UK only shows 2 vaccines - I have called NHS UK and they said that at the moment it does not include booster, 3rd dose.

I't's really quite absurd why they don't.

I know you can upload it on your smartphone but what happens if you are travelling with perhaps elderly people without a smart phone?

I have been travelling throughout the year to Italy using the paper copy but now that it doesn't show the Booster (dose 3) I'm concerned that it will not be accepted in Italy.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

We have just had to show evidence of the second vaccine here in Italy. No one has asked about the booster. If you download the NHS App you can see the bar codes for both your two vaccines and also the booster. But no one is interested in the booster at the moment.

Hi,  Your NHS green pass will be fine even if shows only 2 vaccines -  The Sicily government has introduced the requirement for a covid test on arrival in Sicily, so you will be directed to the appropriate zone at the airport when you arrive.

You need to have your green pass with you to do lots of stuff like eating in restaurants.  Masks are obligatory indoors and outdoors too now, till after Xmas.

In particular,  see the bit about date of paper certificate.

I'd suggest you take a few photocopies of any paper certificates.  They do show "COPY" faintly in a box, but you can't see it easily, and they still work.

Also photocopies of Passports, just in case

Thanks for the advise - great idea to photocopy docs....

just as a matter of interest why do you think photocopying passports?
