We have a similar conundrum

We have a similar conundrum (without the trullo) in the Latiano area. Loads of good advice on this forum and others like pugliaposse, puglialife and pugliacha. Now, depending on how skint you are it could be a very hard slog all by yourself. It is important to make sure your house is well insulated and damp free as possible in the first instance, it can be very cold and miserable in the winter and the concept of "a place in the sun" may seem a cruel joke... Good luck!!

Hi Bunterboy, thanks for the message - tried to reply earlier but struggled with the site and connection! Have also joined Pugliaposse - thanks for the tip. Have done the best I could with floor insulation but trullo design negates much other insulation. I'll just have to keep warm pruning those trees and cutting the grass. Have you found a good supplier in the area of the very small, top-handled chainsaws used for pruning the olives? I have a conventional saw but would like to prepare for the spring. Ciao, Wilma

Thanks for the advice - found what I wanted eventually (whilst waiting for a dentists appointment!). Just need to wait for the spring before I can start the olive pruning. Ciao
