Hi Everyone.My name is Brian and my wife (Aileen) and I bought an old farmhouse in Lunigiana last November.Since then we have had some fantastic restoration plans drawn up by a local geometra and are due to travel over to meet him in a couple of weeks.This has been tempered slightly by the restoration costs involved, however, and we are still trying to obtain a rough estimate of the cost of the total project e.g. the cost of replacing roof, floors and ceilings plus reinforcing the walls has come in at Euro 180,000 - this is for a 210 square metre house.Anyway, I won't ramble on too long - I'm just looking forward to bouncing lots of questions to the community over the course of the next few months.
