“Dice che era un bell’uomo e veniva, veniva dal mare…” The famous song by Bolognese singer Lucio Dalla, “4 marzo 1943,” will be blaring from the stereos of many houses in Bologna tomorrow, Sunday, at noon. The occasion is to commemorate the passing of the beloved artist, who died March 1, 2012.
It is the second time this event is organized in Bologna by the association “Succede solo a Bologna,” and last year it was very successful, with about 10,000 people participating, with local radio stations and the Bologna Airport taking part in the initiative as well.
“Open the windows of your house and let the notes of Lucio’s music diffuse around the streets so we can all remember him through his music,” the promoters said.
The first song to be played is “4 marzo 1943,” then people can play songs by Dalla they like best, for half an hour of music.
