L'Aquila: Earthquake victim asks to move into Italian Prime Minister's private home

"I would like to live in Villa Certosa or Palazzo Grazioli". This is what a man from L'Aquila put in the form he had to complete in order to eventually stand the chance of being given a new home.

Antonio Bernandi's request to move to either Silvio Berlusconi's holiday home in Sardinia or the imposing mansion in the Italian capital is, after all, in line with what the Premier himself had promised.

In one of his numerous visits in the area Silvio Berlusconi offered his own homes to the victims of the earthquake. "I am not trying to be funny", said Antonio, "this is what the Premier publicly promised".

"I can also offer considerable advice on the earthquake, having lived first in a tend and then moving from hotel to hotel".
