San Antonio Spurs' Marco Belinelli won the Three-Point Contest at NBA All-Star Saturday night.
He scored an impressive 24 points in the tiebreaker final round against Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, becoming the first Italian player to ever win the Three-Point Contest and the third European, after Peja Stojakovic and Dirk Nowitzki.
Belinelli made six straight shots at one point.
"I was a little bit nervous at the beginning and I think that I shot like two airballs," Belinelli, who is originally from San Giovanni in Persiceto, a very small town near Bologna, said. "But in the end I was focused. I really cared about this trophy."
