Seven Italian Beaches You Can Reach By Train

On the coast of Liguria, Sestri Levante can be easily reached by train, and the northern beach is very close to the train station.

Jesolo beach, on the coast near Venice, offers many services and is very popular. The train will take you to San Donà di Piave, from there it’s about 45 minutes by bus.

On the popular Riviera Romagnola, a favorite of families and young people, Milano Marittima has a large beach, and a large pine forest. The train stop is in the adjacent Cervia train station, which is also a seaside resort.

The beach at Gabicce Mare, in the Marche, is reached via the Adriatic railway, stopping in Cattolica, which is about 2 km away, then you can either walk or take a local bus.

The Viareggio train station is very convenient, located in the center of the town, just one kilometer from the beach. This popular Tuscan seaside resort can be reached by train from Lucca and Massa.

Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi Coast is reached via the Naples-Salerno railway line, in about an hour from Naples.

The pearl of Salento (Puglia), Gallipoli is easily reached by train from Lecce in about an hour and 30 minutes.
