I have a regular sum of money sent over from the UK every month. This month however the money left my UK account and has yet to arrive here in Italy (Banca della Marche).

I saw this comment from a Californian news item............Emerging Cuisines from Emerging Markets - As the world grows smaller, the selection of cuisines grows larger and guests’ palettes are begging to try new flavours.

It will take a quite monumental event to prise us from our wonderful life and friends here. BUT,................. what/where is the future for the younger generation here ?

Being a full time resident here in Italy, we are having a month or so on holiday in another EU country (not in the UK, our country of origin). Does anybody know what 'travel' related health cover are we 'entitled' to ?

I'm sure someone here will advise (hopefully)............I have some 30/40 false acacia trees (the ones with the spikes - ouch !), they have grown in the last 5 years to some 15/20metres high.

"Mr Berlusconi told Italian television: "Life in Italy is good. The restaurants are full. It's difficult to get a seat on a plane they're so busy; holidays are all booked up."There you go then, no financial crisis here !?S

Ciao Penny, Thanks for the call on Amandola for lunch...........I have been there many times but not seen a place to chill over lunch which you seem to have just confirmed. We live in Penna San Giovanni and we are fancying (don't laugh!)............getting the pulman from PSG to Amandola...............wandering around for a bit, taking in lunch and then getting the pulman back (stop laughing!). It was the lunch bit that I was stuck on due to the (my perceived) lack of lunch spots. We Lago San Ruffino well (Osteria and the Pizzeria) thanks and may well reconsider the masterplan. WE have been (for the last 2/3 years) to the evening string quartet (not sure when it is). Thanks again, S

Ciao Penny........... Any recommendations for a LAZY lunch in Amandola ..........whilst on our doorstep, we rarely go there as our flightpath tends to cross other locations ! Cheers, S

It's a why not in my view................ but there will need to be ZERO comeback on Italymag if the sales/freebies don't work for individuals. It would be nice to hear from the adminstrators to say whether or not it will be actualy happening, and if so, when? S

There is a young lady who helps out at the Pharmacy in PSG who speaks a bit of English (can't recall her name though...sorry!) S

There are so many (really LOADS) of builders who come to Italy with a massive amount of skills, but unfortunately, there is just no work for them. There is ...........LOADS of 'work', but this work is normally 'sorted' out by the Italian geometras. Understandable in my view.? DO NOT COME TO ITALY expecting to just get into the building work on day 2 (or day 32 or even day 52/352 etc). MASSIVELY downgrade expectations and then build from there....(pardon the pun!) I know 4 different builders here (all super tradesmen) but all four are struggling to find on-going work. Think carefully............. S

I felt white sad for Fulham..so near yet so far.....congratulations for getting SO close.... I feel ( sort of) saddened that ENGLISH players are 'not so' prominent in the Premiership team squads World Cup forward line looks VERY 'iffy' to me.........Does this mean that we are not producing? S

Well 'someone' agreed the spending of Benitez, 'someone' said  'here you go.....sign  this contract for squillions'........so these 'someones' need to take a walk down near the 'cast iron' shore late at night and tell the locals who they are........... The assets of the club are at their lowest point in years, at least Man Utd can get 75,000 'supporters' to home games (a couple of million pounds per game coming in).......Our stadium is becoming completely outdated...............very poor......... Ah well ...........good luck Fulham tonight and hope for a good game on Saturday(?) in the FA Cup final... S
