I'm from Cardiff, Wales, UK. In the UK I taught French and Italian in secondary schools for 23 years. After taking early retirement, I worked as an interpreter for an international medical assistance company until they upped and moved to London, then I taught in the tertiary sector and also began teaching ESOL.
My hobbies are reading, cooking, writing and - most importantly - being with my dog, Simi [Simone, named after de Beauvoir].
Now I live in Modica, Sicily and I love it.
