Elisabeth Catuogno
American citizen, Italian resident married to an Italian, 2 young children.
I've lived in Italy for about ten years, spent summers here as a child and have most definitely "gone native". I live in Orvieto, Umbria but we used to live on Capri, where my husband is from and we now spend our summers. I've had lots of important life experiences here - marriage, births, new career and now schooling for my children, and this country never ceases to amaze me in all of its infinite contradictions. I speak fluent Italian and good French and am grateful for the years of Latin I studied as a child. I feel very connected, through my own Neapolitan heritage, to the rich Roman culture of this country, particularly in Campania where I lived for so long.
I love the sea, cooking and eating, walking in the countryside, reading and discovering new places and people and especially having friends from the US come to visit.
I'm a licensed Italian estate agent, working through Cluttons Italy. I specialize in sales on the Amalfi Coast and Capri, but I also do some sales and more property management in Umbria. I enjoy working with my English colleagues and clients, which is a refreshing change from the frustrations of dealing with the Fellini film that is an Italian office on a day to day basis.
