Hi there, you might find it difficult to find a place for 3 months only as it is considered short term by local estate agents here and they are not very flexible. While looking for a rental for someone last year I found out that the standard contract they offer in Abruzzo is 4+4 years with a 6 months notice although you might be able to find something for a year. Check out the listings on Subito.it and immobiliare.it but the best way is to ask around when you are here. There are many empty houses that are not advertised and arrangements are made in person here. Hope this helps! Anna

Hi Anna .....many thanks for your speedy and informative response. I was rather hoping I might have found the needle in the haystack by posting the question here........In reality think I would be looking for a 6 month tenure.Still, you never know, so if anyone can provide any leads I would be very grateful. Thanks again.

Your best chance would be to find someone on one of the forums who would like a break from a holiday home, but that time of year might be difficult. Perhaps a post on an Abruzzo forum may come up with something.
