Ciao tutti,
Rocca San Giovanni (Abruzzo)
Rocca San Giovanni is a town in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
The main attraction of the neighbourhood is the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere. Other sights are the church of St. Matthew, a medieval structure inspired, in smaller scale, to the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere and the remains of the Norman walls, built in 1061.
The stretch of coast that goes from Ortona to San Salvo, and includes San Vito Chietino, Rocca San Giovanni, Fossacesia, Casalbordino and Vasto, is known as the "Trabocchi Coast". The "Trabocco" is the traditional typical marine machine that one can see in these places and it is the emblem of this coast.
