I have a regular sum of money sent over from the UK every month. This month however the money left my UK account and has yet to arrive here in Italy (Banca della Marche).

Being a full time resident here in Italy, we are having a month or so on holiday in another EU country (not in the UK, our country of origin). Does anybody know what 'travel' related health cover are we 'entitled' to ?

I think your VPN supplier operates out of Cyprus and costs £9 ish per month ? My Private Network (mentioned earlier) you will save £4 per month AND you can have it a month at a time. This and all other VPNs operate exactly the same. You can get VPN for free but you get loads of advertising........ S

I'm a little sorry that I too didn't at least put a reply in, but I had nothing positive to say!. For us, there is so little that we miss, so very little that our eating habits have probably changed !  I used to like Heinz tomato ketchup...............I now find it too sweet !! Like other posters, we have local friends and family who come over bring the VERY few things that we want or would like. Also, I seem to recall that there was another poster who offered the same type of service I think ? Good luck with this (and any other ) venture, S

We are in the Penna San Giovanni area of Le Marche. We have been using Fidoka (http://www.fidoka.it/) for nearly 4 years now, typically we get 90%+ of the time 3 to 4mb connection speed, it works slightly different to Alice as Alice7 is a shared connection and is very VERY dependent upon your distance from the 'exchange'. The '7' in Alice7, is UP TO 7mb. Re a VPN connection, I am coming up to my 3rd year of being with My Private Network..(https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/).............£5 per month is probably our best bargain here, maybe, possibly !! Answer to: Buying a car
Sat, 08/27/2011 - 08:19

You will do well to buy any car unless you are resident ! OK so what's the story with buying a car in Italy? We were not keen on buying a new car because just about every car I have seen in Italy has dents and bumps, but I have been told that it common practice in Italy to turn back clocks on used cars!! News to me ?So now we are in a bit of a quandary. Are cars generally more expensive in Italy new and used? Yes for sure, a lot of people stick with a UK based car (actually illegal) I know motor insurance is horrendously expensive (outrageously high!)and we will need to shop around, Keep your (UK ?) no claims paperwork as the local insurers tend to not give no claims on new customers from overseas!) but all suggestions welcome here.
