There's a direct train from Venice to Mogliano. Takes about 35 mins. Depending where you're staying in Mogliano you may well need a taxi from the station. To find an economical place to eat in Venice follow the gondoliers when they knock off at lunchtime. Be cautious however near the various bridges for pickpockets, and remember that they are not always the scruffy ones!If you get chance also to visit Treviso (another direct train from Mogliano) you will find a delightful city that is almost a miniature Venice complete with canals etc. Thankfully little known by tourists in general.Best wishesAndrew

You could maybe have a look at "Il tuo primo libro per imparare l'inglese" published by Larus; ISBN88-7747-563-3 that I bought for my new Italian 'speakeressa' aged 49 years young. Well illustrated and very simple, in a format of Q & A that at the top of the page asks you - in Italian - a question, and below you choose the answer from a page of 4 or so pictures accompanied with the Italian word. Divided into sections e.g. food; garden; house / home; kitchen; it can be used to prompt word search, or even costs so little that it could be cut up and the pictures / words distributed around the various rooms etc to act as 'Post-it' style prompts. As an (ex) teacher (you're never an ex-teacher) I found this book a really excellent resource.Andrew

fair doo's; after starring as Matlock County Junior School's year 5 3rd choice goalie I gave up kick-ball. I appreciate other people like it, but since following Matlock Town to Wembley in the Jurassic period I fail to understand the game so I prefer a game that uses the whole body not just the lower portion, and actually encourages's young people to appreciate that as they mature their body needs to be used completely not just in proportion to their tostesterone!

reminds me of the situation that many of you home builders and reconstruction fanatics have experienced in the past, but instead it relates to builders and food; now you've tried the Cowboys; come and try the Indians!I've been in touch with the Museum of Rugby at Twickenham to see if they will in fact return my shorts on hold in their strongroom, however it may be that 'shorts' will have to become 'longs' due to the impending zanzari problems.Maybe be able to borrow a pair from my mate; trouble is he has 5 wi**ies. His shorts fit him like a glove.Enough!!!
